We are looking for a Software Engineer (macOS) to contribute to the continued success of AlDente Pro. This role is ideal for a self-driven individual with a strong product development focus. As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate extensively with team members, challenging and refining existing and new feature requirements and designs. You will explore innovative and unconventional solutions, continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies, and write clean, solid, and maintainable code. Your role as a cross-functional team player will be crucial to the success of our projects, as you will be reliable and supportive of team goals.

In this role, you will
Maintain excellent quality of existing functionality for AlDente users.
Be involved in the creative process and execution of potential future products.
Research to understand the users` issues and ways to fix them.
Implement and maintain new features and improvements.
Fix user-critical bugs and provide support for our Customer Support.
Execute and support release-related processes.
Improve and create internal tooling for effective development and support.
Provide meaningful feedback in our code reviews and technical discussions.
Skills you’ll need to bring
Being curious and having fun while creating new things.
Experience in software projects and programming, preferably low-level languages.
The ability to research solutions for rare problems.
The ability to creatively combine a limited set of tools to achieve new functionality.
Basic knowledge of macOS and the terminal.
As a plus
Experience in macOS/iOS development with proven production operations.
Knowledge of Objective-C and Swift.
Knowledge of essential macOS frameworks (AppKit, Cocoa, SwiftUI, etc).
Understanding macOS/iOS system structure (bundles/packages, app bundle structure, important locations, sandboxing, agent/daemon, etc).
Knowledge of advanced debugging tools and techniques.
What we offer
Hybrid Work Model: At AppHouseKitchen, we embrace a hybrid work model that combines the flexibility of working from home with the benefits of in-office collaboration. This means you will primarily work from home, but we will also agree on one to two office days a week. Therefore, it is essential that you are within commuting distance of Vienna or Lower Austria. This model allows us to maintain a strong team dynamic while also offering the flexibility to manage your work-life balance effectively.
Salary Information: Salary starting from the collective agreement base of EUR 2,396 gross per month (full-time), with a willingness for market-competitive overpayment (not all-in), depending on qualifications and professional experience.
