Help Us Make Aldente Even Better: Optional Analytics Sharing
We’re constantly working to improve Aldente, and your insights can play a big part! We’re introducing a new, optional analytics setting within the app. By choosing to enable this feature, you can securely share technical data that helps us enhance Aldente’s performance, features, and reliability. Most importantly, you remain in complete control over your data.
What Kind of Information Helps Us Improve Aldente?
When you opt in to share analytics, Aldente collects technical information related to your device’s battery, charger, model, and how you use the app itself. This data helps us understand real-world usage patterns, identify areas for optimization, and troubleshoot issues more effectively.
Here’s a breakdown of the categories of data shared only when analytics are enabled:
- Battery Details: Information like Serial Number, Design/Maximum/macOS Capacity, macOS Condition, Cycle Count, Temperature, Manufacturing Date, Manufacturer, and performance metrics (Internal Resistance, Current, Voltage, Power).
- Charger Details: Technical specs like Model, Manufacturer, Serial Number, and power metrics (Current, Voltage, Power).
- MacBook Details: Your Mac’s Model, a Unique Identifier, macOS Version, and Manufacturing Date.
- Aldente Usage: App-specific information like AlDente Version, your chosen AlDente Settings, Language preference, anonymized Crash Reports, Debug Files, and your IP Address (used primarily for geographical usage statistics and service reliability).
Why Sharing This Data Benefits Your Aldente Experience:
With the cumulative battery data of many participating MacBooks, we can provide you with exciting insights and new features in future updates.
Your Control: How It Works & Your Privacy
Your privacy and control are paramount. Here’s how managing analytics works:
- Opt-In Required: Data sharing is disabled by default. Aldente will only share analytics data if you explicitly enable the setting.
- How to Enable/Disable: You can change your preference at any time. Simply go to AlDente Settings > General and toggle the Analytics option on or off.
- What We Don’t Collect: We are committed to transparency. When analytics are disabled, no data from AlDente is shared with AppHouseKitchen. Furthermore, the analytics never include personal files, Browser history, payment information, or any usage data from outside the Aldente application itself.
- Data Deletion: If you disable analytics and wish for previously shared data to be deleted, please send a data deletion request through our official support channel. We will promptly process your request.
Shape AlDente’s Future With Us
By choosing to enable analytics, you’re doing more than just sharing data – you’re actively participating in the evolution of Aldente. You’re helping us build a faster, more reliable, and more innovative tool for everyone.
